Is it possible to use non-combustible materials in the wall build up?
Yes, insulation types as well as thickness can be adapted to use non-combustible materials such as mineral wool..
For severe and very severe exposure classifications, is a check reveal achievable?
Yes, it is possible to size the apertures and set the window back in order to achieve a check reveal. Also unlike timber frame it is not necessary to consider settlement differences between the Ultrapanel and masonry external skin.
What height can the wall panels be manufactured to?
Individual wall panels can be manufactured to heights in excess of 5m, with an overall building height of up to three storeys or 11m.
Are the walls subject to settlement like timber frame?
No, unlike timber frame, our wall panels are not affected by settlement.
Is it possible to accommodate steps and staggers?
Yes, it is possible to accommodate steps and staggers in the product. We would however urge early engagement to identify opportunities to simplify the design, improve buildability, quality and reduce costs.
Has the product been subject to party wall sound testing and are there plans to register details with Robust Details Limited?
The product has been subject to several tests, with exceptional results ranging from 50 - 55db. As further tests are carried out on completed projects, we do plan to register our product with Robust Details Limited.
Is the external breather membrane fitted at the factory?
Yes, the breather membrane is fitted as part of the wall panel cassettes and overlapped on site to provide complete protection.
